Dobie High School placed on lockdown after reports student saw someone with firearm, Pasadena ISD says

PASADENA, Texas (KTRK) — Dobie High School was placed on lockdown Tuesday morning as a precaution after reports that a student saw an individual with a possible firearm on campus, according to Pasadena ISD officials.
An investigation is ongoing.
District officials said the lockdown was implemented to ensure the safety of everyone on campus while the situation is assessed. Students are being supervised by staff, and safety protocols are being followed.
“Please know that the safety of our students and staff is our highest priority. We will continue to work closely with law enforcement and will provide updates as more information becomes available,” officials said in a statement.
In addition, parents are asked not to arrive at the campus “as this may interfere with emergency operations.”
SkyEye was over the scene, where heavy law enforcement surrounded the school, and multiple students were outside the building.
Eyewitness News will continue to monitor this scene and will update this post as information becomes available.
