Borussia Dortmund’s Champions League playoff first leg against Atalanta was pushed back by 15 minutes after Dortmund’s arrival was delayed.

Due to heavy traffic, Dortmund was unable to reach its home stadium, Signal Iduna Park, at its planned time.

As a result, the decision was taken to move the kickoff from 9 p.m. local time to 9:15 p.m. (3:15 p.m. ET).

“Due to the delayed arrival of our team, the kickoff is postponed by 15 minutes,” Dortmund said on social media.

Dortmund ended the league phase in 17th position with 11 points and reached these playoffs despite suffering back-to-back defeats to Tottenham and Inter in its final two matches of that stage.

Atalanta, meanwhile, placed 15th in the league phase table despite losing its last two matches against Athletic Club and Union SG.

The Italians will host the second leg on Feb. 25, with the winner of the tie set to face either Bayern Munich or Arsenal in the round of 16.
