FORECAST
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) – Cloudy, windy, and warm are how you would describe our overnight weather. A few light showers will enter into the forecast late tonight, but thankfully it will be late enough that you can leave the umbrella at home this evening. Lows will be in the 50s.
Light scattered showers will move through our region Wednesday morning as a disturbance moves through the Midwest. By the afternoon you can replace the umbrella with sunglasses as clouds break up and the wind cranks up, giving us highs in the 60s.
Fog could become a problem Wednesday night into Thursday morning as warm, moist air from the south overrides a cool, damp ground with little wind. Watch for low visibility during the Thursday morning commute!
We’re watching some morning storms in Kentucky thanks to a warm front, but the Alert Day on Thursday is primarily centered around the 7PM to 2AM time frame Thursday night as weakening strong to severe storms approach from the west.
Look for a quieter Friday with some sunshine and cooler highs in the 50s. Those temperatures will drop even more by the weekend as we only top out in the 30s and 40s.
Depending on how far south the cold front from Thursday’s night storms drops, we could see a rain and snow chance at times this weekend. There’s a lot of uncertainty surrounding this potential, so stay tuned! Should the front sink far enough south, we would just be dry and cold.
Rain chances will return again by mid next week.
