Snowfall warning for Kootenays issued by Environment Canada

Environment Canada has issued a snowfall warning for parts of the Kootenays including Highway 3.

Ten to 25 centimetres of snow is expected to fall in the West Kootenay, including on Highway 3 at the Paulson Summit and Kootenay Pass, between Monday and Tuesday morning.

The East Kootenay will also see 10-20 cm of snow starting Tuesday morning and ending later in the evening.

The alert applies to Castlegar, Trail, Nelson, Rossland, Creston, Cranbrook, Kimberley and Fernie.
