Should the Eagles be interested in acquiring DB Minkah Fitzpatrick?

Miami released four players earlier this week, including Tyreek Hill, and are in the early stages of revamping the roster under a new regime.

Philadelphia has 20 unrestricted free agents, and could see A.J. Brown depart and Landon Dickerson potentially retire, as the Eagles will retool on offense with a complete overhaul of the staff. Howie Roseman is expected to focus on getting key defenders signed to long-term deals, and that could provide a scenario where several big-name Eagles depart for lucrative deals on the open market.

The off-season will focus on upgrading the roster, and the biggest move could come at the safety position. Andrew Mukuba and Sydney Brown are the only safeties on the depth chart, along with Andre Sam. Reed Blankenship could depart in Free agency, leaving a potentially huge void. A trade could clear things up, and Minkah Fitzpatrick could be the guy who gives Vic Fangio another weapon.

Jordan Schultz reports that the Dolphins have discussed trading the dynamic safety days after releasing four key players as the roster begins to retool.

The Miami Dolphins traded for the three-time All-Pro safety this summer, sending Jalen Ramsey to Pittsburgh in return for the safety they drafted in 2018. The fifth-highest graded player at his position in 2025, Fitzpatrick could also play the slot, freeing up Cooper DeJean to roam.

Fitzpatrick enters the final year of his contract with an $18,849,000 cap hit.

In 14 games last season, Fitzpatrick was solid, logging 82 tackles, one interception, six passes defended, one forced fumble, two fumble recoveries, and four tackles for loss.
