That is her dichotomy in slalom racing. She is the best to ever do it, and she routinely beats the field by margins best measured by a sundial. That standard, though, can be damning and burdensome. The expectation to win — out of the spotlight and in the blinding glare of the Olympics — becomes suffocating.
