Men’s ice hockey semi-finals – full schedule and how to watch live

The podium picture for the men’s ice hockey tournament at the Olympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026 is beginning to come into focus.

Slovakia opened the quarter-final action with a commanding 6–2 victory over Germany, while Canada needed overtime to edge Czechia 4–3 in a far tighter contest, despite “Captain Canada” Sidney Crosby exiting early with a lower-body injury.

Finland also required extra time to book their place in the semi-finals, defeating Switzerland 3–2, after an epic game that saw the Fins come back from being down 2-0 to eventually pass the Swiss in overtime.

The United States completed the semi-final lineup later in the evening, overcoming Sweden’s equally NHL-laden roster 2-1 in overtime to secure its place in the final four.

The men’s semi-finals will take place on Friday, 20 February.
Schedule, all times CET:
16:40 Finland v Canada
21:10 United States v Slovakia

The men’s Olympic gold medal game is set for Sunday, 22 February, at the Milano Santagiulia Ice Hockey Arena.
