Canada, United States, Sweden and Switzerland prepare for showdown – full schedule, how to watch live

Following an action-packed round robin full of twists and turns, the Milano Cortina 2026 women’s curling semi-finals are here.
On Friday (20 February), Canada will face Sweden and Switzerland will take on the United States in two semi-finals to determine which teams will advance to the gold medal game.
Round-robin winners Sweden will take on fourth-place finishers Canada in the first of two concurrent playoffs.
Sweden topped the standings with a 7-2 record, losing only to the Republic of Korea and, notably, to their semi-final opponents Canada.
The preliminary meeting finished 8-6 in favour of Rachel Homan‘s Canada and was then considered an important victory for the side’s round-robin fortunes.
The Canadians had started the round robin with a win before dropping three games to slip down the standings. It required a big comeback effort in order to get themselves back inside the top four in time for the semi-finals.
Canada’s opponent, Anna Hasselborg of Sweden, is no stranger to the Olympic stage.
In her previous two appearances, her rink has twice won an Olympic medal: at PyeongChang 2018 the Swedes claimed gold and at Beijing 2022 they took bronze.
Meanwhile, in Homan’s two previous Olympic outings (one in mixed doubles), she has twice failed to make playoffs, marking the Milano Cortina 2026 semi-finals uncharted territory for the two-time world champion.
How the two top sides go up against each other will be a big point of intrigue for all curling fans.
