Winter Olympics 2026 Closing Ceremony: What to expect

While the Milano San Siro Olympic Stadium provided the setting for an unforgettable Opening Ceremony, it will now be the majestic Verona Olympic Arena that takes center stage for the Closing Ceremony of the Olympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026, scheduled this Sunday (22 February).
“Beauty in Action”: this is the title of the final act, which will also feature international star Roberto Bolle, Italian singer-songwriter Achille Lauro and actor Benedetta Porcaroli, with more acts expected to be announced in the coming days.
The Arena, a Roman amphitheater dating back to the 1st century AD, is one of the most iconic places in Italy with global significance.
Maria Laura Iascone, director of the Milano Cortina 2026 Ceremonies, described it as “a place known throughout the world for its history and for its ability to be the stage for great operas.”
It will also be the setting for the opening ceremony of the Paralympic Games Milano Cortina 2026, to be held on March 6.
“With ‘Beauty in Action’, every medium – dance, music, cinema, architecture – becomes part of a choral choreography. Beauty will not only be shown, but experienced, shared, and breathed, Iascone said.
“We want audiences to feel part of a story that unites emotion and reflection, body and soul”, he added.
