Winter Olympics 2026 live updates: Alex Ferreira wins freestyle skiing gold; Day 14 latest from Games including curling

The action from Day 14 of the Milan Cortina Games includes six more Winter Olympics medal events.

Alex Ferreira won the gold medal in the freestyle skiing halfpipe competition, capturing his third Olympic medal.

In the women’s speed skating 1,500 meters, Antoinette Ripjma-de Jong claimed the fifth straight gold for the Netherlands. More medals will be handed out in speed skating (short track 1,500-meter and men’s short track 5,000-meter relay).

Germany’s Daniela Maier won the women’s ski cross, China’s Wang Xindi won the men’s freeski aerials and Norway’s Johannes Dale-Skjevdal won the men’s biathlon 15km mass start.

The women’s curling gold-medal game is set: In the semifinals, Sweden beat Canada, and Switzerland beat the United States. So, it’s Switzerland vs. Sweden on Sunday for gold and Canada vs. the USA tomorrow for bronze.
