Team GB take agonising silver medal after nerve-shredding curling final against Canada – live reaction

Another thing in GB’s favour right now is the time advantage they have over Canada and they should give themselves plenty of time to ponder over shots down the stretch.

This end is being dominated thus far by stones down the centre line. Inside the house, from top towards the button, it goes Canada, GB, Canada, GB. As has been the case throughout this match, it is tight. Lammie plays a fantastic shot right down the centre, putting real speed into the shot, and manages to send both yellows out of the house. Gallant though follows that up with a good shot to knock the two GB stones out of the house.

With two stones each left, there is just one stone in the house and that is GB’s, just hanging onto the edge. Mouat then plays an excellent shot, drawing it in towards the button on the centre line. Jacobs then uses one of his guards to then knock into the most central GB stone and the Canadian stone just about hangs on inside the house. The question now is whether Canada can get two or not? Mouat’s final shot is good, meaning GB now have a stone on either side of the house.

Canada’s skip Jacobs is going to have to settle for just the one and he takes that one.

We are level at 5-5 with three ends left.
