A girls’ minor hockey team is into the Olympics in a big way, planning a watch party for the gold medal game in men’s hockey tomorrow morning.

It has been a tournament of squeakers with overtime games galore in the quarters.

The Caps U-11 girls will be at Kelsey’s on Kenmount Road Sunday morning, hoping to raise money for the All-Nfld tournament.

Stephanie Picco, a hockey mom and one of the organizers, says the event is open to the public starting at 9:00 with the game between Canada and the U-S at 9:40. The cost, $20, includes breakfast.

The team is raising money to go to Twillingate for their provincials.
