Missing 3-year-old from Avondale found safe at Phoenix gas station; suspect in custody

AVONDALE, AZ (AZFamily) — Kehlani Marie Rogers, 3, who was the subject of an Amber Alert issued Saturday, has been found safe.
The toddler was found at the QuikTrip near 27th Avenue and Thomas Road on Sunday morning, according to Phoenix Police.
Rogers was allegedly abducted by 23-year-old Marina Noriega from an Avondale home near 118th Avenue and Edgemont Street on Friday night.
A person reportedly saw the pair in west Phoenix and called the police. With the help of this tip, Avondale police were able to find the toddler. Police said Rogers was safe and had not been hurt.
Noriega was taken into custody at the QuikTrip and will be booked into jail. It is unclear what charges she faces.

An Amber Alert was issued Saturday afternoon with the descriptions of Rogers and Noriega. Authorities received several tips about where they may have been. Later that day, surveillance footage captured them at a local business in Maricopa.
The alert was canceled shortly after the pair was found in Phoenix Sunday morning. Rogers was taken to Avondale Police Department headquarters; it is unclear if she is back with her family yet.
“We extend our sincere thanks to our media partners, the community, and our local, state, and federal law enforcement partners for their assistance in achieving a safe resolution,” the Avondale Police Department shared in a statement.
