Man arrested for Huntington double murder

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) – A man was arrested for two counts of first-degree murder after a deadly shooting on Friday in Huntington.

The Huntington Police Department says they obtained warrants on Saturday for the arrest of Kevante White after he fatally shot and killed Adrian Phillips and Derious Johnson.

White also got an additional warrant for felony malicious wounding.

Officials say the third warrant is for the third victim that was involved in this incident. That victim is said to be in stable condition at a local hospital.

According to the Huntington Police Department, White traveled to Akron, Ohio after the shooting occurred.

Investigators worked with the US Marshals Service to locate and apprehend White.

White was arrested Sunday in Stark County, Ohio and is facing two counts of first-degree murder as well as malicious wounding warrants.

He is currently being held at a correctional facility in Stark County, Ohio as a fugitive of justice until he can be extradited back to West Virginia.
