The blizzard of 2026 isn’t over yet, and some areas of New Jersey have already been buried with as much as 20 to 24 inches of snow as of early Monday morning.
And the numbers could grow even higher. Forecasters say the snow will continue to fall into the early afternoon, and all 21 counties in New Jersey remain under a blizzard warning because of strong winds and low visibility.
The heaviest snow accumulations are concentrated in central and southern portions of the state.
The highest snow total as of 9 a.m. was 24 inches, in Freehold in Monmouth County, followed by 21 inches in the southern Middlesex County town of Cranbury.

At least two towns — Chatham in Morris County and Perth Amboy in Middlesex County — reported snow accumulations of exactly 20 inches.
In Mount Holly, where snow was falling at a rate of nearly 2 inches per hour early Monday morning, 19.2 inches of snow had piled up outside the National Weather Service’s main New Jersey forecast office as of 7 a.m.
