Last season, Mat Sadler’s side were the talk of League Two.
Twelve points clear at the top by mid-January, a catastrophic collapse saw them manage just 14 points from their final 17 games.
They slipped to fourth and suffered the cruellest of endings at Wembley, losing 1-0 to AFC Wimbledon in the play-off final.
This season, the Saddlers again set off well but just one win in nine has raised uncomfortable echoes of 12 months ago.
Sadler will know better than anyone that another late-season wobble simply cannot be afforded.
A healthy win tonight and they could be back in the play-off places though…
