Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr. have agreed to a rematch for September 19 in the Las Vegas Sphere, 11 years after their previous fight.

The event will be streamed live globally on Netflix.

The former multi-weight world champions first met in 2015, in what was billed as the ‘Fight of the Century’.

Mayweather won by unanimous decision after 12 rounds by unanimous decision but Pacquiao, 47, claimed he had a shoulder injury during the match.

“Floyd and I gave the world what remains the biggest fight in boxing history,” Pacquiao has said upon the announcement of this year’s rematch.

“The fans have waited long enough — they deserve this rematch, and it will be even bigger now that it will be streamed live globally on Netflix.

“I want Floyd to live with the one loss on his professional record and always remember who gave it to him. As always, I dedicate this fight to my fellow Filipinos around the world and to bringing glory to the Philippines.”

Mayweather said: “I already fought and beat Manny once. This time will be the same result.”

In 2017, 48-year-old Mayweather retired from professional prize fighting undefeated at 50-0 with 27 knockouts.

Filipino boxer Pacquiao retired with a 62-8-3 record, including 39 knockout victories.

Pacquiao returned to the ring after a four-year retirement for the first time last year. He most recently took on former WBC welterweight ‌champion Mario Barrios in July 2025, with Barrios retaining his title after a majority draw.

Mayweather, who has had a series of exhibition bouts since his retirement nine years ago, is scheduled to face Mike Tyson next year with a date yet to be confirmed.
