Carthage native takes stage on ‘The Voice’

A Moore County native is chasing her dreams on “The Voice” this season.
Julia Golden, of Carthage, says she’s been singing for as long as she can remember. She’s done hundreds of shows over the past couple of years and is a Nashville recording artist. Now, she’s auditioning for NBC’s “The Voice.”
“I’m just so blessed to be able to represent North Carolina on this journey,” Golden said in an interview Monday night before the show’s season premiere. “I love where I’m from. I love my hometown, my home state. The people of North Carolina are the supporters that got me an opportunity like this.”
Watch “The Voice” at 9 p.m. on Mondays on WRAL.
