Help from Pennsylvania arrives in Rhode Island

Rhode Island is accepting snow removal help from anywhere that can spare it.

Pennsylvania is the latest state that has sent reinforcements for the snow cleanup effort.

On Thursday, Gov. Dan McKee welcomed in heavy equipment that came in from the Keystone State.

“The capacity for the state to do the state roads, we had that, but the capacity for the local communities to deal with this magnitude, they didn’t. “McKee said.

McKee and other officials greeted those who came along with the trucks.

“It’s been a really coordinated effort since the Rhode Island request went out for help from the other states. We were happy to mobilize as quickly as we were,” said Pennsylvania Secretary of Transportation Michael Carroll. “Our guys are eager to help you.”
