Hit Hulu TV Show Ending With Season 3

One of Hulu‘s highly rated thriller shows is expected to end its run after three seasons. This comes three days after series creator Dan Fogelman’s Paradise Season 2 had just debuted its first three episodes. The post-apocalyptic thriller starring Sterling K. Brown (This Is Us) currently holds an approval rating of 87% on Rotten Tomatoes.
Why is Hulu’s Paradise ending with Season 3?
During a recent interview with THR, Fogelman opened up about the future of Paradise, confirming that the acclaimed show will likely end with its third season. Even though the show has yet to receive an official renewal order from Hulu, he revealed that they have already started developing Season 3.
“In season three, which we’re already breaking — we’re breaking episode seven right now, and we know where it ends [with eight]; we know what episode eight is. Everybody gets their due. I will say that,” Fogelman shared. “But there’s only so much real estate, and the story really dictates. I personally want to know more about Robinson’s [Krys Marshall] backstory, and we’ll get that, along with other characters. Everyone will have a moment, but it’s when they come to significance in the grander story when we made those decisions.”
Fogelman also revealed why the show won’t go beyond three seasons, explaining that the team’s vision for how Season 3 ends makes it difficult for them to continue the story. “We know what the end is, and it’s an end that would make it very difficult to make a season four come afterward.
Paradise is created and executive-produced by Dan Fogelman. The ensemble cast also includes Julianne Nicholson, Sarah Shahi, Nicole Brydon Bloom, Krys Marshall, Enuka Okuma, Aliyah Mastin, Percy Daggs IV, and Charlie Evans, with Shailene Woodley and Thomas Doherty also joining Season 2. The show also features recurring guest stars James Marsden and Jon Beavers. Executive producers are Brown, Jess Rosenthal, John Hoberg, Steve Beers, Glenn Ficarra, and John Requa. It is a production by 20th Television.
