KINGSTON, Tenn. (WVLT) – The Tennessee Valley Authority said Wednesday it was working with authorities as they investigate a threat against the Kingston Energy Complex. The details of what happened haven’t been released.
“The safety and security of our employees is our number one priority. We are cooperating fully with local authorities as they investigate an alleged threat at Kingston Energy Complex,” Scott Brooks, a TVA representative, said via email.
The Kingston Energy Complex is often referred to as the Kingston Steam Plant. It’s located outside Kingston in Roane County on Watts Bar Lake.
The Roane County Sheriff’s Office did not immediately respond with any more information.
