Amber Alert issued for missing two-year-old boy in Winnipeg

Manitoba Emergency Measures officials and the Winnipeg Police Service have issued an Amber Alert for a missing two-year-old boy believed to be in danger.
The alert, sent at 12:59 p.m. Friday, says William Ettawacappo was last seen in the 50 block of Chesterfield Avenue in Winnipeg. Police believe he is in the company of Caitlin Monkman and/or Kineisha Jawbone.
William was taken from the residence wrapped in a dark blue and light blue blanket, police said in the emergency notice. It is not known where the group is headed, or what vehicle they left in.
Police are urging anyone who sees the child or the two adults to call 911 immediately and not to approach them.
The public is advised to check for updates on the Winnipeg Police Service’s social media platforms on Facebook and X and to remain vigilant.
Amber Alerts are issued when a child is believed to be abducted and in imminent danger, and when enough descriptive information is available to help locate the child and suspect.
A photo will be provided as soon as possible.
