Wildfire burning near Chautauqua Park in Boulder

Boulder County officials sent out an evacuation warning for Chautauqua Park after a wildfire started burning on a half acre near Bluebell Canyon, fire officials said Saturday afternoon.

Boulder Fire Rescue crews responded to a wildfire southwest of the park shortly before 1 p.m. and quickly started getting water on the flames, agency officials said on social media. The fire is burning on an estimated half acre.

The fire is being called the Bluebell fire, according to the wildfire dispatch program WildCAD.

County officials sent out an evacuation warning for the park at 1:25 p.m. with approximate boundaries of Baseline Road to the north, 13th Street to the east and Flagstaff Road to the west.
