Carey Mulligan knows the power of a bob refresh. The star was spotted this afternoon at Prada’s autumn/winter 2026 show, with her signature bob chopped into layers and the shorter strands at the front gently flicked towards her ears. Looking relaxed and effortlessly chic, Mulligan waved to fans before heading into the venue.

Those with a keen eye will notice that this hairdo is significantly straighter, smoother and blonder than the look that she debuted at the 2026 BAFTAs on Sunday. For the awards show, she stepped out with a thicker-looking, blunt, shoulder-grazing bob that was pinned behind her ears to show off a set of dazzling Tiffany & Co earrings. Dubbed a French tucked bob by onlookers, the style meshed seamlessly with her darker, dirty-blonde roots. A new occasion, however, clearly called for a new blend of colour.
