TIME SCHEDULE: Thai GP

MotoGP is back! This weekend all eyes are on Buriram as the Thai GP once again opens up the season after the winter break and pre-season testing. From Media Day to lights out on Sunday, here’s the complete MotoGP weekend schedule so you don’t miss a moment!

Thursday: MotoGP Media Day in Buriram

The race weekend begins on Thursday with media duties and fan-focused build-up events. The MotoGP Press Conference features last season’s top three riders: Marc Marquez (Ducati Lenovo Team), Alex Marquez (BK8 Gresini Racing MotoGP) and Marco Bezzecchi (Aprilia Racing). The press conference takes place at 18:00 (UTC+7).

Earlier in the day, the Group Photos session will be streamed live on motogp.com at 15:40 local time. Jack Appleyard and Louis Suddaby will also be on hand at 17:40 to help fans GearUp for the weekend.

Friday: Free Practice and MotoGP Track Action

Friday marks the first competitive track action of the 2026 MotoGP season. Moto3 heads out at 09:00, followed by Moto2 at 09:50. The premier class takes to the track at 10:45 for a 45-minute Free Practice session.

After the lunch break, action resumes at 13:15, with the MotoGP 60-minute Practice session beginning at 15:00. Friday’s running is crucial, as riders push for strong lap times and direct entry into Q2.

Saturday: Qualifying and the Tissot Sprint

Saturday begins with a final Free Practice session for each class before MotoGP qualifying gets underway at 10:50 with grid spots for both Sunday’s Grand Prix and the Tissot Sprint up for grabs.

The Sprint race starts at 15:00 on Saturday, and gives riders their first chance of the year to bag silverware and points.

Sunday: Grand Prix Race Day in Thailand

Race day at the Thai Grand Prix features three races across the Moto3, Moto2 and MotoGP classes. Moto3 gets the action started at 12:00 with a 19-lap contest. Moto2 follows at 13:15 over 22 laps. The MotoGP Grand Prix then begins at 15:00, with 26 laps set to decide the first full-race winner of the 2026 season.
