Why Trinity Rodman isn’t playing today for USWNT

The United States women’s national team is in action Sunday against Argentina.
Trinity Rodman wasn’t in the starting 11, though.
For fans who wanted to see the popular forward on the pitch, they were disappointed early.
There’s good news, though, too.
Why isn’t Trinity Rodman playing today?
Rodman wasn’t in the starting lineup as Emma Hayes chose a different group to take the pitch.
The superstar was shown during warmups in pictures on the USWNT social media, so she seems available to play.
There’s no known reason Rodman didn’t start, but there’s a guess: the next game.
The United States plays Canada on Wednesday. That feels like the game you’d really want to have Rodman in the starting lineup.
So maybe she sees a late cameo as a way to tune-up for a matchup with the major rivals in a few days.
