Lakers’ LeBron James playing vs Kings to close out back-to-back

Lakers star LeBron James was available to play in Sunday night’s home game against the Kings despite landing on the injury report earlier in the day.
The team upgraded James to available less than an hour before tipoff at Crypto.com Arena after he was a game-time decision, with the team putting him on the injury report because of left foot arthritis.
Sunday was the second night of a back-to-back after Saturday’s road win over the Warriors, with James recording 22 points, nine assists and seven rebounds in 28 minutes in San Francisco.
The matchup against the Kings marked the third time that James, who’s 41 and in his 23rd NBA season, played in both games of a back-to-back set this season.
He missed the first 14 games of the season because of sciatica.

James was the lone player on the team’s injury report, with the Lakers having their full roster available against the Kings.
Rui Hachimura was taken off the injury report after missing the last two games because of an illness that coach JJ Redick said Hachimura was still dealing with as of Saturday. Redick said Hachimura wasn’t on a playing-time restriction for Sunday’s game.
Rookie forward Adou Thiero and second-year guard Bronny James rejoined the team after their stints with the Lakers’ South Bay G League affiliate.
