Bryan Adams to deliver exclusive acoustic performance in Thunder Bay this fall

Canadian rock icon Bryan Adams will return to Thunder Bay this fall with a rare and intimate acoustic-style concert that will not be offered in any other Canadian city on his 2026 tour. Adams is set to perform at the Thunder Bay Community Auditorium on Sept. 3 as part of his extended Roll With The Punches tour, giving local audiences a uniquely personal experience from one of the country’s most celebrated performers.

The upcoming concert marks Adams’ first visit to Thunder Bay since 2019, when he headlined Thunder Bay Bluesfest at Marina Park. That show attracted more than 10,000 fans and became one of the festival’s standout moments, remembered for its energy, atmosphere and the star power Adams brought to the waterfront. This return engagement, however, promises a very different kind of evening—one focused on stripped-down arrangements, storytelling and direct connection with the audience.

While the rest of Adams’ cross‑country schedule features a full-scale arena production, complete with his signature high‑energy rock show, Thunder Bay’s performance is being presented in a quieter, more introspective format. The exclusive acoustic setup allows Adams to revisit his extensive catalogue in a way that highlights both the craftsmanship of his songwriting and the distinctive rasp of his voice. The Thunder Bay date is also the only stop on the tour without an opening act, ensuring that the full duration of the evening is devoted to Adams alone.

Adams is touring in support of his 2025 album Roll With The Punches, which has earned a nomination for Rock Album of the Year at the 2026 Juno Awards. The album blends the driving, guitar-forward sound that has defined much of his career with moments of reflection, resulting in a collection of songs that translate naturally into an intimate live setting. The new material has already found its place alongside the hits that built Adams’ international reputation.

Over more than four decades, Adams has established himself as one of the most recognizable and enduring figures in Canadian music. He has sold more than 75 million records worldwide and earned a long list of accolades, including Juno Awards, Grammy Awards and multiple nominations for both the Golden Globes and the Academy Awards. His influence spans generations, with songs such as “Summer of ’69,” “Run to You,” “Heaven” and “(Everything I Do) I Do It for You” remaining fixtures on radio playlists across the country.

These songs, along with others like “Cuts Like a Knife,” “Straight From the Heart” and “Can’t Stop This Thing We Started,” helped shape the sound of Canadian rock through the 1980s and beyond. In a stripped-down format, many of these hits take on a new tone, offering fans a rare opportunity to hear them in a more vulnerable and unfiltered form. For many longtime listeners, the acoustic approach offers a chance to hear the emotional core of Adams’ songwriting more clearly than in a full-band arena setting.

Adams’ return is also a meaningful moment for Thunder Bay’s live music landscape. The city has long worked to attract touring artists of his calibre, and hosting an exclusive performance of this nature underscores the Auditorium’s ability to draw major acts. For local fans, the event stands as both a celebration of Adams’ ongoing legacy and a reminder that Thunder Bay continues to be an important stop on national touring routes.

Tickets go on sale Friday, March 6 at 10 a.m. local time, with several presales scheduled earlier in the week. Full details are available at bryanadams.com.
