AFC Bournemouth vs Brentford: Premier League preview, team news, stats & head-to-head

  • Bournemouth have never won in seven attempts in the Premier League against Brentford (D2 L5) – the Bees are the only side the Cherries have faced without yet winning in the top-flight.

  • In all competitions, Brentford have won 10 of their last 13 games against Bournemouth (D2 L1), including the last five in a row. The last side they had a longer winning run against was Preston between 2013 and 2016 (6).

  • Bournemouth have won both of their midweek (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) Premier League games in 2026 so far, having been winless in all six in 2025 (D2 L4).

  • This is Brentford’s fifth Premier League game played on a Tuesday, while they have won none of the previous four (D2 L2). They are one of just four sides to play 2+ matches on Tuesdays in the competition without ever winning, along with Derby County (7), Norwich City (17), and West Bromwich Albion (32).

  • Bournemouth have drawn more Premier League games than any other side this season (12). Indeed, their 12 draws is already their most in a single top-flight campaign.

  • Bournemouth are unbeaten in their last eight Premier League games (W4 D4). Only once have they had a longer run without defeat in the top-flight, going 11 games between November and January last season.

  • Having lost seven of their first eight away league games this season (W1), Brentford have now won five of their last six on the road (L1). They’re looking to win four in a row away from home for just the second time in the competition, after a run of five between January and March last season.

  • Igor Thiago’s 18 goals have been worth 15 points to Brentford in the Premier League this season, the most of any player in the competition so far this term.

  • Last time out against Sunderland, Evanilson became the first Bournemouth player to be subbed on, score and then be subbed off in a league match since James Keene against Brentford in October 2005.

  • Kevin Schade scored a hat-trick in Brentford’s 4-1 win over Bournemouth at the Gtech Community Stadium in December. The only players to score 4+ goals against the Cherries within a single Premier League season are Harry Kane (5 in 2015-16), Romelu Lukaku (4 in 2016-17), and Mo Salah (4 in 2018-19).
