Kyler Murray and his real estate agent may have some busy days ahead.
The quarterback’s time with the Cardinals will likely end when the new league year begins for the NFL on March 11 as various outlets have reported that Arizona will move on from the former No. 1 overall pick.
NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported at the NFL Draft Combine that he expects the Cardinals to release Murray if they can’t find a trade partner before March 11.
Reporters have linked to multiple teams and prediction markets have also weighed in on Murray’s next team as well.
Traders on Kalshi see the Vikings as the clear favorite to end up with Murray with a 37 percent chance that he heads to Minnesota. ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler reported that the Vikings could be interested in adding Murray to their quarterback room for a low cost.

The Jets have the next-highest chance (19 percent) of acquiring Murray, according to Kalshi, with the Falcons (17 percent) trailing just behind.
Murray’s time with the Cardinals was a bit of a mixed bag. He was named Offensive Rookie of the Year in 2019, made the Pro Bowl in 2020 and 2021, but has been to the playoffs just once in seven seasons in Arizona.

His 2025 season was derailed by a foot injury that forced him to miss the final 12 games of the season and that’s not an isolated incident. Similar to 2022, when Murray tore his ACL and missed 13 games over two seasons while recovering.
Murray has shown talent as the Cardinals’ signal caller, but that hasn’t translated into quality wins.
The Cardinals have only finished at or above .500 twice in his seven-year tenure, and his career record with the team is 38-48-1.
