The programme sees the celebrity pair get stuck into the nitty-gritty of running a caravan park, and Lawrence believes it “was a bit of an eye opener for them”.
This process also presented a challenge for management, who “still had to run the holiday park” on top of filming.
Tanya Dolan, sales manager from Golden Leas Holiday Park in Minster-on-Sea, hopes the programme drives greater numbers to holiday on the island.
“There’s so much that the island has to offer, and we’re excited other people get to see that now…we’ve got blue flag beaches, it’s steeped in history, [and] outside adventure.”
As a lifelong resident of the island, Dolan, 44, is favour of “anything to boost the profile of the region”.
