Breanna Stewart, Mist Beat Phantom to Win 2026 Unrivaled Championship amid Historic Kelsey Plum Game

No. 2 Mist beat No. 1 Phantom 80-74 on Wednesday to win the second-ever Unrivaled championship.
The six members of Mist, led by veteran Breanna Stewart, earned $100,000 each for taking home the Unrivaled title.
Phantom’s Kelsey Plum came out hot to continue what has been a tremendous playoff showing from her. She scored 22 of Phantom’s 43 first-half points, though that wasn’t enough to give her squad an edge. The two sides went into halftime tied.
Plum finished the game with 40 points, an Unrivaled playoff record, but it wasn’t enough to lead her team to glory.
Mist held a 68-62 lead heading into the fourth quarter and extended the lead to 10 points early on, but Phantom stayed in it and managed to cut it back to six with a Plum three-pointer.
Another clutch basket from Plum trimmed the lead to just four points, but Mist was just a point away from the target score and secured the win with a Breanna Stewart free throw at the other end.
Stewart finished the game with 32 points on 11-of-15 shooting.
For most of the season, it felt like Mist and Phantom would meet in the championship, and a battle between Stewart and Plum was perhaps the perfect way to cap off the second season.
