When Lady Vols basketball opens up its SEC Tournament run on Thursday, it will be without one of its freshmen. In the availability report heading into the matchup, Deniya Prawl was listed as inactive.

Prawl is averaging 3.8 points per game on 40.4% shooting from the field and 12.5% shooting from three. She is also posting 2.6 rebounds, 0.4 assists and 1.0 steals per outing. She played in 28 games and started in eight while seeing an average of 15.4 minutes per appearance.

Prawl is the only Tennessee player listed on the report. However, Kaiya Wynn will also not be with the team after stepping away from the program on Tuesday, following frustration stemming from Senior Day. Wynn had appeared in nine games this year with limited minutes.

The Lady Vols are slotted as the 6-seed in the SEC Tournament. They will open the event with the winner between 11-seed Alabama and 14-seed Missouri on Thursday. Tennessee beat both teams in the regular season. The matchup between the Tide and Tigers is slated to start tonight at 8:30 p.m. ET on SEC Network.

The Lady Vols’ game on Thursday is scheduled for 8:30 p.m. ET and will air on SEC Network, as well.

“It would be great,” Tennessee head coach Kim Caldwell said about winning a game. “It would be great to see one go through. Again, I’m excited about the break that we have in between to put some practices together, but it would be great to get a win again.”

Tennessee enters the SEC Tournament as losers of six in a row. It has also lost nine of its final 11 regular-season contests.
