Tess Marshall as Emily Starr

While her screen-time was brief, Marshall had viewers spellbound from the moment they met Emily Starr, a homeopathic social media influencer who was killed after an event for her wellness company. However, as the A.D.A.s navigated the murder trial, they soon learned Starr’s murderer, Carol Massey, only killed the TikTok star as a last-ditch intervention to prevent the death of her daughter Lauren, one of Starr’s many followers who was actively battling leukemia. After Emily exploited Lauren for thousands in wellness juices and diet plans and encouraged her to neglect doctor orders, the A.D.A. realized their client’s unethical business practices and elaborate con had played a significant role in the tragedy.

Aside from her guest appearance on Law & Order, rising star Marshall has guest-starred in the television series Ordinary Joe and appeared in the 2025 drama film Beauty of Poverty.

Stephanie Szostak as Carol Massey

Szostak delivers a captivating performance as the murderer at the center of “Remedies,” a mother named Carol Massey who took desperate measures for her daughter’s medical intervention. Carol may have murdered someone, but it didn’t take much for the jury — as well as the A.D.A.s and audience — to begin to sympathize with her twisted tactics for making sure her daughter received the medical treatment she so dearly needed.

After moving to NYC from France, Szostak got her breakthrough as Jacqueline Follet in The Devil Wears Prada, starring opposite Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway. Some of Szostak’s other notable film roles include Iron Man 3, Dinner for Schmucks, and We Bought a Zoo. As for her primetime hits, many recognize Szostak as Delilah Dixon in the applauded drama series A Million Little Things or as the magnetic Grace Truman in Satisfaction, as well as guest appearances in series like The Blacklist, Younger, and The Calling. Law & Order’s milestone season isn’t her first rodeo in the courtroom, either; Szostak also guest starred in two Season 8 episodes of Law & Order: Criminal Intent.

Georgia Waehler as Lauren Massey

Waehler guest stars as Carol Massey’s daughter, Lauren, another victim at the center of Law & Order‘s latest. Chronically ill from a young age, Lauren was soon entangled in Emily Starr’s elaborate wellness con. After learning Lauren spent thousands on Starr’s workshops and half-baked homeopathic treatments and paid rent to stay with Starr’s commune, Carol took family matters into her own hands.

Season 25 of Law & Order isn’t the first time Waehler went to blows in the courtroom; she also previously guest-starred in a 2022 episode of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit as Amelia Whitman. Waehler has also recurred in series like The Night Agent and Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin.

Matt Walsh as Attorney Joe Sirianni

Walsh guest stars on Law & Order‘s “Remedies” as no-nonsense defense attorney Joe Sirianni, Carol Massey’s lawyer during the mind-boggling murder trial. Walsh delivered a dynamite performance as Sirianni, whose defense was so convincing that it had the jury and even had A.D.A. Nolan Price (Hugh Dancy) questioning his moral compass and ability to convict Emily’s killer.

Walsh has been entertaining audiences across film and television for decades, best known for his iconic roles as Father Pat the Ref in Semi-Pro, Dr. Walsh in The Hangover, and Thomas in Ted. In addition to his many comedic big screen projects, Walsh is a primetime titan, garnering acclaim as Mike McLintock in the Emmy-winning comedy Veep, as well as recurring in hit series like Comedy Bang! Bang!, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, The Conners, and Ghosts.
