Xenathewitch, a controversial livestreamer on the platform Kick, was suddenly taken into custody by police during a live stream on March 4, 2026. The moment happened late at night while she was filming an IRL broadcast and talking to viewers in real time. Thousands of people watching the stream saw the unexpected arrest unfold live. Xenathewitch, who has nearly 43,000 followers on Kick, has faced several controversies during her time as a streamer. Some of those situations have also involved police officers in the past. This latest incident quickly spread online after clips from the stream began circulating across social media.
Just minutes before the arrest, Xenathewitch was standing at a crosswalk when a police car drove by during its patrol. Seeing the vehicle, she jokingly told viewers she might try to hitch a ride with the officers. While speaking to the stream, she said:
“I’m gonna hitchhike the cops, f*** it. Wait, can I get arrested? I don’t think I can get arrested for hitching a ride with the police, right? It might be illegal.” Soon after, the situation took an unexpected turn.

After making the comment, Xenathewitch raised her thumb toward the passing police car as if asking for a ride. A few seconds later, the officers turned their lights on and pulled the vehicle closer to where she was standing.
Seeing the police approach, she reacted on the stream and said:
“Oh, boy. Here we go… Oh, boy, what’d I do?”
One of the officers stepped out and asked the streamer if she had identification. Xenathewitch said she did and asked what the problem was. While speaking with her, the officer explained that she looked like someone they were searching for.
“Do you have an ID on you?” the officer asked.
“I do, yes,” Xenathewitch replied.
“Do you mind if I see that real quick?”
After checking her details, another officer asked if her last name was Sampson. Xenathewitch answered “yes.” Right after that, one of the officers pulled out handcuffs.
The streamer appeared shocked and said:
“Wait, what? I haven’t done anything. Turn the stream off. Press the stop button.”
An officer then told her the reason for the arrest.
“We have a warrant for your arrest.”
“No, I don’t,” Xenathewitch responded.
“Yes, we do,” the officer replied.

This is not the first time police have arrested the streamer during a public livestream.
In August 2025, Xenathewitch was taken into custody after firing paintballs at a bystander during a livestream event connected to Ice Poseidon’s IRL Scavenger Hunt.
After that incident, a police officer explained what would happen next while speaking during the situation.
“She wanted you to know that she’s basically going to go to the judge tonight. That could take anywhere between seven to maybe 18 hours. It’s just going to depend on how busy the jail is. She’ll talk to the magistrate, and they will either decide to release her on a bond or hold her.”
Later, Xenathewitch posted a video recorded from jail, telling her followers that she missed them and would update them soon. For now, details about the March 2026 arrest warrant remain unclear.
