Radio 1’s Big Weekend 2026: Fatboy Slim to headline Friday

Sunderland last hosted Radio 1’s Big Weekend in May 2005, when the-line up included Gwen Stefani, Foo Fighters and the Black Eyed Peas.
Tens of thousands of fans are expected to attend this year’s three-day event, which will feature about 100 acts.
The headliners and line-up for Saturday are going to be announced on the Radio 1 Breakfast Show on Monday morning.
For the Friday, there will be 31,000 general admission tickets at £34.50 each up for grabs, and another 2,960 VIP tickets at £86.00 each.
Saturday and Sunday tickets will go live at 17:00 GMT on Wednesday, with general to be sold at £44.50 per day, while VIP will cost £106.00.
Friday tickets and the VIP area will be available for over 18-year-olds only, but those age 15 and under will be able to attend over the weekend if they’re with an adult.
Festival-goers can get up to two tickets per person per day, and may attend Friday and one weekend day only (Saturday or Sunday), but not both.
Radio 1 say this restriction is in place to allow as many people as possible have a chance to buy tickets.
