‘Love Story’ is FX’s Most-Watched Limited Series Ever on Hulu

“Love Story: John F. Kennedy Jr. & Carolyn Bessette” is FX’s most-watched limited series ever on Hulu and Disney+, according to the cabler.
The first five episodes of the Ryan Murphy series have been streamed more than 25 million hours since the series premiere on Feb. 12.
The audience for the show starring Paul Anthony Kelly and Sarah Pidgeon continues to grow, with Episode 5 scoring a 51% viewership increase compared to the premiere.
FX is also touting the social reach of “Love Story,” citing a TikTok stat that searches for both JFK Jr. and Bessette grew by over 9100% in the last month, with the hashtag #lovestory generating more than 21 million posts globally.
The series’ impact is also seen across retail and dining. C.O. Bigelow, the store that sells Bessette’s tortoise shell headband, has sold the most accessories in its 188-year history, according to Bloomberg. And The New York Post reported that Panna II, the East Village Indian restaurant where JFK Jr. and Bessette have their first date in the series, has noticed a 40% surge in reservations.
A time capsule of 1990s New York, “Love Story” tells the romantic and tragic story of JFK Jr. and Bessette, starting with the day they met. The series also stars Grace Gummer as Caroline Kennedy, Naomi Watts as Jackie O and Alessandro Nivola as Calvin Klein.
Episode 6 of “Love Story” airs on Thursday on FX and will stream on Hulu in the U.S. and Disney+ internationally. The series is created by Connor Hines, who executive produces with Murphy, Nina Jacobson, Brad Simpson Eric Kovtun, Nissa Diederich, Scott Robertson, Monica Levinson, Kim Rosenstock, D.V. DeVincentis and Tanase Popa. Max Winkler executive produced and directed the pilot episode. The series is produced by 20th Television.
