Waterbury Resident Wins $200K Lottery Prize

WATERBURY, CT — A Waterbury resident is $200,000 richer after purchasing a winning lottery ticket at a local business, according to the Connecticut Lottery.
On Friday, the resident purchased a winning “100X the cash” ticket at Waterbury Xpress Foodmart LLC and won $200,000, according to the Connecticut Lottery.
The CT Lottery furnishes winner information as public record.
The CT Lottery has changed its policy on announcing winners by not including the winners’ full names on the list in order to protect them from potential scams, according to officials.
As of Oct. 1, 2025, the CT Lottery will no longer publish winners’ names without their written consent, according to officials.
