Dennis Quaid is going viral after a Facebook post shared an alleged statement of his. The page, America’s Last Line of Defense, noted that the actor supposedly called Jennifer Lawrence an “incurable liberal loon” who “never stops.”
He reportedly told the director to choose between him and Jennifer Lawrence, and they seemingly chose Quaid because of his “star power.” Dennis allegedly said he would have happily walked away from that project if the director had refused to let go of Jennifer.
“She never stops. By the end of the day I thought I was going to scream… I would have gladly walked away if they said no,” the actor reportedly said.
However, the viral claim of Dennis Quaid calling Jennifer Lawrence an “incurable liberal loon” is false. The two have not worked on any movie or series either. The Facebook page America’s Last Line of Defense is known for its satirical content, as they clearly mention it in their bio and every post.
Dennis Quaid has publicly supported Donald Trump numerous times
Last month, the 71-year-old actor appeared on pastor Greg Laurie’s The Greg Laurie Show and briefly talked about how the political alliances in Hollywood have shifted over the years.
Quaid claimed that in the acting industry, celebrities reportedly treat a person who is a Clinton Democrat the same way they would treat a neo-con, someone who supports the neoconservative movement.
It is worth noting that the star clarified that he does not consider himself a Republican. Instead, Dennis calls himself a “common-sense independent” who leans towards “more conservative” in his head.
The host, Greg Laurie, then brought up Donald Trump, pointing out that the President is “personable, incredibly funny, a good listener, and surprisingly approachable.”
Dennis Quaid agreed with the statement and said that Trump is “genuine,” and his supporters know that he has their “best interests at heart.” The actor also commented on Donald Trump’s energy, saying he has “a lot of energy,” and Quaid rarely met people like that.
“[Donald Trump is] surprisingly approachable and very funny. And really genuine. He wouldn’t be president if he wasn’t genuine. The people who voted for him, they know that he has their best interests at heart, that he is a genuine person. I’ve never seen anybody with that kind of energy,” Quaid stated.
In other news, Senator Ted Cruz uploaded a short video on X of Dennis Quaid sitting beside Donald Trump on Air Force One. They were travelling to Corpus Christi, Texas.
Cruz asked the actor who played President Ronald Reagan in the 2024 film Reagan what the former president would think of Trump. Quaid put on the voice of Reagan and said that the two are similar, except that Trump is him “on steroids.”
As the three laughed at the impression, Trump sportingly tapped his arm. Then, in Texas, at Donald Trump’s rally, Dennis Quaid expressed his appreciation for the President by appearing on stage and saying,
“I love Donald Trump.”
