Chrysler CEO Feuell leaves company as Dodge chief takes over post

Chrysler CEO Chris Feuell is leaving Stellantis NV with Dodge CEO Matt McAlear taking over that post as well as oversight of Alfa Romeo operations in North America, the carmaker said Thursday.
The changes are effective immediately. Feuell, who previously also led the Ram brand for a short time in 2024, “has elected to leave the company for personal reasons,” Stellantis said in a statement. She led Chrysler since 2021, with the North American Alfa Romeo oversight responsibilities added in late 2024.
McAlear has helmed Dodge since 2024, overseeing the launch of the new Charger muscle car, which recently won North American Car of the Year. He previously managed Dodge sales and marketing operations and also held management roles at Maserati and with the Chrysler brand, where he oversaw the launch of the all-new Chrysler Pacifica minivan in 2016.
It’s the latest of several leadership shifts under CEO Antonio Filosa, who has led the company since midway through last year. They have included a new chief financial officer and changes atop the company’s regional teams and in sales. The company has prioritized fixing its North American brands and operations after sales and profitability fell sharply in recent years.
McAlear takes over a Chrysler brand that celebrated its 100th anniversary last year and eked out a slight year-over-year sales increase in 2025 thanks to solid Pacifica and Voyager sales. The brand currently only sells the two minivan models. It is set to launch a refreshed Pacifica for 2027.
Alfa Romeo sales, meanwhile, plummeted 36% last year after the brand saw only limited updates and investments in its North American models in recent years.
