Today show host Savannah Guthrie visited the studio for the first time since her mother Nancy’s disappearance, People confirmed. Though she did not appear on-camera, Guthrie talked to the staff of the show and prayed with them. She began by thanking the staff for “caring about my mom as much as I do.” “I wanted you to know that I’m still standing, and I still have hope, and I’m still me,” Guthrie said. “And I don’t know what version of me that will be, but it will be. I’m holding onto my faith. I still believe. And as my mom would say, ‘Where else would I go?’”

Guthrie’s mother, Nancy Guthrie, was reported missing on February 1 and is assumed to have been kidnapped. Law enforcement has since released footage from Nancy’s front-door camera showing a person in a ski mask dismantling the camera. Guthrie stopped appearing on Today on February 2. “On behalf of our family, I want to thank everyone for the thoughts, prayers, and messages of support,” her fellow anchor Craig Melvin read in a statement at the time. “Right now, our focus remains on the safe return of our dear mom.”

In her March 5 visit to Today, Guthrie confirmed to the staff that she intends to return to the show. “I have every intention of coming back,” she said. “I don’t know how to come back, but I don’t know how not to. You’re my family. And I would like to try.”

Following her visit, the hosts of Today’s fourth hour, Sheinelle Jones and Jenna Bush Hager, were emotional. “Full disclosure, we’ve had a powerful morning this morning,” Jones said. “Savannah has come back to her home here at 30 Rock in Studio 1A,” Bush Hager added emotionally. “We got to see her this morning and in her perfect way, she talked to all of us, hugged every single person in this room, the crew.”

The Guthries are currently offering a $1 million reward for the return of their mother. The FBI and the Pima County Sheriff’s Department are still asking anyone with tips to contact the FBI at 1-800-CALL-FBI.
