No. 10 Ben Kueter (Iowa) over No. 7 Koy Hopke (Minnesota), 5-2: In the final match of the first round, Ben Kueter advances with a 5-2 win over Koy Hopke. 

No. 3 Nick Feldman (Ohio State) over No. 14 Caleb Marzolino (Indiana), 21-6: Nick Feldman takes an early lead on Caleb Marzolino with two takedowns inside the first 30 seconds. Feldman stayed on the gas, taking Marzolino down again. The Buckeye finished off a 21-6 tech fall inside the first period.

No. 5 Braxton Amos (Wisconsin) over No. 12 Joey Schneck (Maryland), 19-3: Braxton Amos was dominant against Joey Schneck, winning a 19-3 tech fall.

No. 6 Luke Luffman (Illinois) over No. 11 Hayden Filipovich (Purdue), 5-1: Luke Luffman advances in a tight first-round bout with Hayden Filipovich, 5-1.

No. 8 Hunter Catka (Rutgers) over No. 9 Josh Terrill (Michigan State), 4-2: Hunter Catka advances with a 4-2 decision win and will take on No. 1 seed Taye Ghadiali in the quarterfinals.

No. 6 Wyatt Ingham (Wisconsin) over No. 11 Gavin Nelson (Minnesota), 5-1: Wyatt Ingham uses one takedown and a riding time advantage to beat Gavin Nelson, 5-1.

No. 7 Kael Wisler (Michigan State) over No. 10 Hayden Walters (Michigan), 6-4: Kael Wisler takes a late lead and beats Hayden Walters, 6-4.

No. 3 Remy Cotton (Rutgers) over No. 14 Alex Smith (Northwestern), 15-2: Remy Cotton cruises through the first round against Alex Smith, winning by a 15-2 major decision.

No. 7 Shane Cartagena-Walsh (Rutgers) over No. 10 James Rowley (Purdue), 5-2: Level at 2-2, Shane Cartagena-Walsh and James Rowley go to sudden victory. After a quick scramble, Cartagena-Walsh earns the takedown and wins, 5-2.

No. 6 Dylan Fishback (Ohio State) over No. 11 J.D. Perez (Northwestern), 17-2: Dylan Fishback’s aggressive wrestling helps him take a 13-2 lead after the first period. With an escape and a takedown, Fishback finishes off the 17-2 tech fall in the second.

No. 8 Angelo Ferrari (Iowa) over No. 9 Sam Goin (Indiana), 9-3: Angelo Ferrari starts his match against Sam Goin by recording a takedown about a minute in. Goin escapes to start the second period but Ferrari takes down the Hoosier again. Ferrari escaped after starting down and held off Goin, finishing with a 9-3 win.

No. 5 Chris Moore (Illinois) over No. 12 Sepanta Ahanj-Elias (Maryland), 8-2: Chris Moore has no problem with Sepanta Ahanj-Elias, beating the Terrapin 8-2.

No. 3 Silas Allred (Nebraska) over No. 14 Cale Anderson (Wisconsin), 20-2: Silas Allred advances via a 20-2 tech fall, dominating Cale Anderson.

No. 4 Brock Mantanona (Michigan) over No. 13 Ryan Boucher (Michigan State), 20-3: Brock Mantanona picks up a 20-3 tech fall over Ryan Boucher, 20-3. 

174 pounds: 

No. 11 Lenny Pinto (Rutgers) over No. 6 Derek Gilcher (Indiana), INJ: Lenny Pinto advances by injury default after Derek Gilcher could not finish the match.

No. 4 Carson Kharchla (Ohio State) over No. 13 Connor O’Neill (Michigan State), 20-5: Carson Kharchla secures an early takedown to take an early lead on Connor O’Neill. The Spartan escaped, and Kharchla came back with another takedown. The Bucke recorded a third takedown right as the first period ended to lead 9-2. Kharchla earned another takedown in the second to lead 12-3. With more offense in the third, Kharchla pulled away to win by tech fall, 20-5.

No. 7 Ethan Riddle (Minnesota) over No. 10 Eddie Enright (Northwestern), 4-1: Ethan Riddle’s late takedown gave the Gopher a 4-1 win over Eddie Enright.

No. 3 Patrick Kennedy (Iowa) over No. 14 Seth Digby (Maryland), 19-4: Patrick Kennedy earned an easy tech fall win over Seth Digby, winning 19-4.

No. 9 Colin Kelly (Illinois) over No. 8 Brody Baumann (Purdue), 11-2: Colin Kelly starts his Big Tens with a solid 11-2 win over Brody Baumann.

No. 5 Beau Mantanona (Michigan) over No. 12 Luke Condon (Wisconsin), 14-5: Beau Mantanona began his Big Tens campaign with a 14-5 major decision over Luke Condon.

165 pounds: 

No. 7 Andrew Barbosa (Rutgers) over No. 10 Cody Goebel (Wisconsin), 2-1: Andrew Barbosa wins the first-round match, 2-1, after Cody Goebel is hit with stalling late in the third period.

No. 4 LJ Araujo (Nebraska) over No. 13 AJ Rodrigues (Maryland) by FALL: After dominating most of the match, LJ Araujo finds the fall against AJ Rodrigues.

No. 3 Mikey Caliendo (Iowa) over No. 14 Jack Conley (Michigan State) by FALL: Mikey Caliendo started fast against Jack Conley, quickly picking up a takedown and a four-point near fall. After letting Conley escape, Caliendo attacked again, earning a takedown and a three-point near fall. Caliendo then found a pin to advance over his Spartan opponent.

No. 5 Andrew Sparks (Minnesota) over No. 12 Justin Gates (Michigan), 16-3: Andrew Sparks had no trouble against Justin Gates, winning by major decision, 16-3.

No. 8 Paddy Gallagher (Ohio State) over No. 9 Tyler Lillard (Indiana), 4-1: Paddy Gallagher only needed one takedown to advance, beating Tyler Lillard 4-1.

No. 6 Braeden Scoles (Illinois) over No. 11 Jacob Bostelman (Northwestern), 20-4: Braeden Scoles only needed two periods to win a 20-4 tech fall.

157 pounds

No. 6 Charlie Millard (Minnesota) over No. 11 Bryce Lowery (Indiana), 12-4: Charlie Millard dominated his match against Bryce Lowery, winning 12-4 and advancing to the quarterfinal round. 

No. 7 Brandon Cannon (Ohio State) over No. 10 Victor Voinovich (Iowa), 6-0: Brandon Cannon and Victor Voinovich ended the first period scoreless. Cannon started the second period down and reversed Voinovich to score the only points of the second, and the Buckeye led riding time by 1:22. After a neutral start in the third period, Cannon took down Voinovich and won the match 6-0.

No. 3 Kannon Webster (Illinois) over No. 14 Ty Wilson (Northwestern), 15-3: Kannon Webster dominated his match against Ty Wilson, pinning the Wildcat after leading 15-3 in the second.

No. 8 Luke Mechler (Wisconsin) over No. 9 Stoney Buell (Purdue), 7-2: Luke Mechler advances after a 7-2 win over Stoney Buell.

No. 12 Darius Marines (Michigan State) over No. 5 Tony White (Rutgers), 4-3: Tony White thought found a takedown in the final seconds of the first period, but the call was overturned after a Michigan State challenge. White’s first score instead came from escaping Darius Marines after starting down in the second period. Marines escaped to start the third period and picked up a takedown before conceding a point for locking hands. White escaped with 30 seconds to go and tried to throw offense, but Marines defended to win, 4-3.

No. 4 Cameron Catrabone (Michigan) over No. 13 Mekhi Neal (Maryland) by FALL: Cameron Catrabone pinned Mekhi Neal in the second period to advance.

No. 3 Joseph Zargo (Wisconsin) over No. 14 August Hibler (Northwestern), 9-7: Joseph Zargo took an early lead and held on to beat August Hibler, 9-7.

No. 4 Lachlan McNeil (Michigan) over No. 13 Clayton Jones (Michigan State) by FALL: Lachlan McNeil pinned Clayton Jones late to advance.

No. 10 Drew Roberts (Minnesota) over No. 7 Andrew Clark (Rutgers), 5-3: Drew Roberts holds on to beat Andrew Clark 5-3.

No. 6 Chance Lamer (Nebraska) over No. 11 Joey Buttler (Indiana), 9-1: Chance Lamer started his match against Joey Buttler well, taking a 7-1 lead after the first period. Lamer held his advantage to advance with a 9-1 win.

No. 8 Ryder Block (Iowa) over No. 9 Michael Gioffre (Illinois), 4-1: Both Ryder Block and Michael Gioffre earned an escape point after starting down. Block earned a takedown late in the third period to win, 4-1, and advance. 

No. 5 Carter Young (Maryland) over No. 12 Gavin Brown (Purdue), 8-1: Carter Young starts his Big Tens with an 8-1 win over Gavin Brown.

No. 10 Joey Olivieri (Rutgers) over No. 7 Greyson Clark (Purdue), 4-2: Behind just one takedown, Joey Olivieri advances with a 4-2 win over Greyson Clark.

No. 6 Braeden Davis (Penn State) over No. 11 Dario Lemus (Maryland), 6-4: Braeden Davis is the first Nittany Lion to take to the mat, and he does so to a loud ovation against Dario Lemus. Davis took control of several scrambles early in the first but failed to score. Davis finds his takedown late in the first period, ending the frame up 3-0. Lemus starts the second period with a four-point near fall, but Davis takes back the lead with a reversal. Lemus started the third down, but Davis rode for the entire two minutes to win, 6-4.

No. 3 Vance Vombaur (Minnesota) over No. 14 Jaden Crumpler (Michigan State) by FALL: Vance Vombaur advances after pinning Jaden Crumpler in the second period. 

No. 4 Nasir Bailey (Iowa) over No. 13 Carson Exferd (Wisconsin), 8-4: With two takedowns, Nasir Bailey led 6-1 after the first. Bailey holds his advantage, beating Carson Exferd, 8-4, to advance. 

No. 8 Billy DeKraker (Northwestern) over No. 9 Henry Porter (Indiana), 15-0: Billy DeKraker took a 7-0 lead after the first period with a takedown and a four-point near fall. DeKraker pulls away to a 15-0 tech fall win.

No. 5 Dylan Ragusin (Michigan) over No. 12 Danny Pucino (Illinois), 7-5: Dylan Ragusin earned a takedown in the first period, and Pucino escaped to make the score 3-1 after the first period. Pucino reversed in the second period, but Ragusin reversed back. Pucino escaped to trail by just one after two periods. Ragusin escaped at the start of the period, and Pucino earned a point after a stall call on Ragusin. With his riding time point, Ragusin advances with a 7-5 win.

No. 3 Ben Davino (Ohio State) over No. 14 Jager Elsch (Minnesota), 18-2: Ben Davino earned his first points after about a minute, taking down Jager Eisch. Davino continued to put the pressure on and led 8-1 after the first period. Davino kept the scoring up to win by an 19-2 tech fall. 

No. 6 Jacob Van Dee (Nebraska) over No. 11 Caleb Weland (Michigan State), 9-3: Jacob Van Dee started his match against Caleb Weiand aggressively, taking down the Spartan in the first period. After starting down, Van Dee picked up a two-point reversal and led 5-0 after two. Van Dee held his lead in the third, picking up a 9-3 win and advancing. 

No. 4 Zan Fugitt (Wisconsin) over No. 13 Gauge Botero (Michigan), 7-1: Zan Fugitt picked up a takedown late in the first period. He rode Gauge Botero for most of the second, but the Wolverine escaped late. With more scoring in the third, Fugitt advanced with a 7-1 win.

No. 10 Blake Boarman (Purdue) over No. 7 Sean Spidle (Northwestern), 3-2: Sean Spidle picked up the first points of the match by escaping from Blake Boarman after starting down in the second period. Boarman took down Spidle, but he escaped to trail 3-2 after the second. Neither wrestler scored in the third, and Boarman took a 3-2 win to advance. 

No. 9 Dylan Shawver (Rutgers) over No. 8 Braxton Brown (Maryland), 3-2: Dylan Shawver scored the first point of the match on a second-period escape. No points were scored until Braxton Brown escaped in the third period to level the score at 1-1. In sudden victory, neither wrestler found a way through, leading to riding time tiebreakers. Brown rode for 17 seconds before Shawver escaped. Brown chose down, and Shawver chased him around the mat, returning him to the mat twice. Brown escaped after 29 seconds, but Shawver won the match via the riding time tiebreaker.

No. 5 Drake Ayala (Iowa) over No. 12 Blaine Frazler (Indiana), 21-6: Drake Ayala started the match in dominant fashion with two early takedowns on Blaine Fraizer. Frazier escaped quickly both times. Ayala kept firing with a third and fourth takedown, looking for an early finish to his first-round match. After a fifth first-period takedown, Ayala led 15-4. Alaya earned two more takedowns to win by tech fall, 21-6.

125 pounds

No. 7 Nicolar Rivera (Wisconsin) over No. 10 Dedrick Navarro (Northwestern), 8-1: Nicolar Rivera rode Dedrick Navarro for almost the entire second period, but Navarro escaped late to take a 1-0 lead. Rivera got his point back at the start of the third period. Rivera took down Navarro and earned a three-point near fall. Because he also earned the riding time tiebreaker, Rivera won, 8-1.

No. 6 Jore Volk (Minnesota) over No. 11 Kael Lauridsen (Nebraska), 16-0: Jore Volk started the scoring with a takedown late in the first period. Volk continued to put the pressure on in the second period and led 13-0 after two. After an early takedown in the third, Volk won, 16-0, by tech fall.

No. 8 Dean Peterson (Iowa) over No. 9 Diego Sotelo (Michigan), 6-2: Dean Peterson’s aggressive first period paid off late in the period with a takedown on Diego Sotelo, giving the Hawkeye a 3-0 first-period lead. Sotelo aggressively tried to keep Peterson down at the restart, but Peterson escaped quickly. Neither wrestler scored for the rest of the period. Sotelo escaped after over a minute in the third period. Peterson was hit for two stall calls but secured the riding time point to win, 6-2.

No. 12 Nick Corday (Michigan State) over No. 5 Ayden Smith (Rutgers), 4-1: Nick Corday earned hte first point of the match with an escape in the third period after choosing bottom. Ayden Smith earned a point after Corday was called for stalling. The two proceeded to sudden victory. Smith earned a takedown on the original call, but after review, Corday was ruled to get the takedown. Corday wins, 4-1.

No. 3 Spencer Moore (Illinois) over No. 14 Abram Cline (Maryland), 9-0: Neither Spencer Moore nor Abram Cline found a way to score in the first period. Moore earned the first point of the match by escaping after choosing bottom. Moore took down Cline and scored an additional point to lead 5-0 after the second period. Moore packed up another takedown on the edge of the mat in the third period. Moore advances with a 9-0 win after the riding time point.

No. 4 Jacob Moran (Indiana) over No. 13 Ashton Jackson (Purdue), 17-2: Jacob Moran dominates early with a takedown and a four-point near fall in the first minute. Ashton Jackson escapes, but Moran keeps the offense going and takes the Boilermaker down again. Another four-point near fall puts Jackson at risk of a tech fall, but he escapes to cut the deficit to 14-2 after the first period. Moran quickly earned a takedown in the second period for a 17-2 tech fall win.
