What we know about influencer

Fitness influencer Stephanie Buttermore has died at 36, according to a post from husband Jeff Nippard’s Instagram. Buttermore and Nippard, a bodybuilder with an extensive social media following, had been together for 10 years and got engaged in October 2022.

It’s unclear at this point how Buttermore died as Nippard’s post did not provide details. Less than a month ago, Nippard posted photos from a night out with Buttermore and both appeared happy and healthy. Buttermore commented “Love you forever.”

“It is with profound sorrow that we share the sudden passing of Jeff’s fiancée and partner of ten years, Stephanie,” Nippard’s latest post read. “As many of you know, Stephanie meant the world to Jeff. She will be remembered for her warmth and compassion, her love for her family, and her PhD research on ovarian cancer.”

Buttermore had 525,000 Instagram followers and over a million YouTube subscribers prior to her death. While she stopped regularly posting in May 2024 to focus on her mental health, she developed a loyal following through her fitness advice, nutrition tips and promotion of body positivity. Buttermore, who also had a Ph.D. in pathology and cell biology, researched “the molecular mechanisms that drive ovarian cancer progression,” according to her YouTube page.

Our condolences go out to the family.
