‘No credible threat found’ after plane from Nashville diverted for security matter: FBI

Information is coming in on a diverted plane from Nashville International Airport to Atlanta last night.

Southwest Airlines flight 2094, headed from BNA to Ft. Lauderdale on Friday night, landed safely at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport after being diverted due to a reported security matter.

The FBI in Atlanta said on Saturday, however, that there was no credible threat.

The FBI and APD have investigated and interviewed the person. There was no credible threat and no charges will be filed.

Southwest Airlines responded to FOX 17 News with a statement, as well.

Southwest Airlines Flight 2094 landed safely at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) Friday evening after diverting to respond to a possible security matter. We appreciate the professionalism of our Flight Crew and sincerely apologize to our Customers for the significant delay. Nothing is more important to Southwest than the Safety of its Customers and Employees.

TSA workers have gone unpaid during the partial government shutdown. Georgia Congressman Mike Collins addressed that on X.

Democrats still refuse to fund TSA. This flight from Nashville to Fort Lauderdale had an emergency stop in Atlanta due to a man yelling “Death to America! Death to Trump! I’m going to bomb the plane!” Fund TSA now. Get these terrorists out of our country.

Tennessee Congressman Andy Ogles took the opportunity to push his Muslim ban.

FOX 17 News later confirmed from Southwest Airlines that no one on the plane yelled, “Death to America! Death to Trump! I’m going to bomb the plane.”
