Report: Colts trade WR Michael Pittman Jr. to Steelers

The Pittsburgh Steelers are bolstering their receiver group by acquiring Michael Pittman Jr. from the Indianapolis Colts.

NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reported that the Colts are swapping late-round picks with the Steelers in the deal.

According to NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo, the trade includes a new three-year, $59 million deal for Pittman.

Pittman, 28, had 80 catches for 784 yards and a team-best seven touchdowns with Indianapolis last season. Trading Pittman opens up $24 million in cap space for the Colts.

The move comes after the Colts re-signed Alec Pierce to a record-setting four-year, $116 million deal, the most for a free-agent receiver.
