Packers will release cornerback Nate Hobbs after one season

GREEN BAY − With the signing of Benjamin St-Juste, the Green Bay Packers are set to cut cornerback Nate Hobbs as a post-June 1 release, sources tell PackersNews.
The Packers are not paying Hobbs the $6.25 million roster bonus, facilitating his release, sources say.

The Packers signed Hobbs to a four-year, $48 million contract in the first wave of free agency last year hoping he could play as an outside corner, but due to injuries and inconsistent play, the Packers are moving on.
He missed six games due to injury and finished with 27 total tackles and two passes defended.
