Free Agent WR Romeo Doubs Has Had Talks with Miami

There are reports out that the Miami Dolphins have had discussions with Green Bay Packers free agent wide receiver Romeo Doubs.

Doubs is one of the sought-after free agent WRs on the open market right now, and he has been linked to a few teams, such as Buffalo and New England, as well as Miami.

After releasing Tyreek Hill and Nick Westbrook-Ikhine, the Dolphins have a huge void to fill at wide receiver, and with Miami agreeing to terms to sign former Packers quarterback Malik Willis, it would make sense to bring a familiar target with him to South Florida.

Doubs will turn 26 in mid-April and was a 4th-round pick of the Packers in 2022.

Since joining the Packers, he has played in 60 games, starting 52.

He has 202 receptions for 2,424 yards and 21 touchdowns.

In 2025, Doubs started all 17 games, had 55 receptions for 724 yards, and 6 touchdowns.

With Malik Willis at quarterback, if Miami can pair Doubs with Jaylen Waddle at wide receiver, with De’Von Achane at running back, and Greg Dulchich at tight end, that would be a formidable offense in South Florida entering the 2026 season.

And that is before adding any additional weapons in the upcoming draft.

It will come down to money, and the cash-strapped Dolphins are hurting right now for salary cap space, and Doubs is probably looking at getting a healthy contract from a team.

Miami could get creative with the contract structure to have a low cap hit this year and push off the big cap hit to later years. With Doubs’ age, that would be little risk since he is only about to turn 26.

There was a report earlier on Monday that Miami is also interested in free agent wide receiver Kendrick Bourne, who played last season in San Francisco but he signed with Arizona early this evening.
