The Titans made it to this year’s final thanks to a 70-64 victory over No. 2 seed Robert Morris, which had beaten UDM in both of their regular-season meetings prior to the semifinal matchup in Indianapolis. Senior point guard Orlando Lovejoy led UDM with 21 points and has been the spark plug to the team’s late-season success.
The win puts the Titans at 17-14 overall this season, which clinches the program’s first winning campaign in a full season since 2014-15. It also represents a sharp turnaround from the 2023-24 season, when the Titans put up a program-worst 1-31 overall record.
At 21-11, the Raiders finished first in the conference and are looking to reach the NCAAs for the first time since 2022. Four Raiders players average double figures in scoring, including freshman guard Michael Cooper, who leads the team with 13.3 points per game.
