Knox, Indiana, Tornado Emergency: Confirmed Large and Extremely Dangerous Tornado In Starke County

Officials warned residents they were in a life-threatening situation, with flying debris capable of causing fatalities and mobile homes likely to be destroyed. Considerable damage to homes, businesses, and vehicles, and possible complete destruction, was expected as the tornado moved toward Knox and nearby communities including Brems, Toto, and Bass Lake. Residents were urged to take cover immediately, especially as tornadoes are extremely difficult to see at night.
