The Dallas Cowboys are bringing back a familiar face in free agency.
A person familiar with the decision confirmed to The Dallas Morning News on Wednesday the team will reunite with defensive end Tyrus Wheat when the league year begins.
Wheat spent the first two seasons of his career in Dallas, signing as an undrafted free agent in 2023, before playing in Detroit in 2025.
Wheat played in 15 games last season for the Lions and had 1.5 sacks. He has also spent much of his career as a contributor on special teams.
